Life has a way of throwing us curveballs when we least expect it.
Just over a year ago, we were holding things together — not extravagantly, but with love, faith, and a lot of hard work. Then, like for many others, the bottom fell out. Between a sudden job loss, unexpected medical bills, and rising costs of living, we found ourselves in a situation we never imagined: drowning in debt just to stay afloat.
We didn’t live beyond our means. We didn’t take luxurious vacations or buy fancy things. We just tried to make ends meet. But when the emergency hit — when the income stopped but the bills didn’t — we had to make impossible choices: groceries or rent, medicine or utilities.
And now, we’re left with the aftermath — bills piled high, interest accumulating, and the constant stress of not knowing how to catch up. We’ve cut every non-essential expense, picked up extra jobs, and we’re doing everything in our power to turn things around.
But we’re still falling short.
That’s why we’re turning to our community, with humility and hope. We’re not asking for handouts — we’re asking for a hand up. Every dollar raised will go directly toward paying down the debts that have been weighing us down — medical bills, utilities, essential living costs — not luxuries.
Your generosity can help us breathe again. It can lift a burden we’ve carried alone for too long. It can give us the fresh start we desperately need.
