My Story from Beit Hanoun to Khan Younis
My name is Mohammed Al-Masri, from Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip. For over three years, I have been displaced, moving from place to place in search of safety for my family, until I arrived in Khan Younis, where I now live in a dilapidated shelter lacking the most basic necessities.
We don't have enough water, and the basic necessities that make life possible are unavailable. We live through harsh days filled with fear, exhaustion, and deprivation, but what pains me most is my inability to provide security and basic needs for my family.
My wife is six months pregnant, and I am trying my best to provide for her, but the circumstances are beyond my control. My family is with me: my father and mother, my brother Fadl and his wife, my brother Faraj, my sister Zeina, my younger sister Jude, and myself.
We are nine people trying to cling to life despite everything. We are not asking for the impossible; we simply want a better place, water, food, and basic necessities to help us survive and for my wife's pregnancy to proceed smoothly.
I appeal to everyone who can help us: Please don't leave my family alone in these circumstances. Any assistance, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in our lives. And any sharing of our story might reach someone who can lend a helping hand.
From the heart of Gaza, I hope our voice reaches your hearts. π΅πΈπ
