Big Nick was diagnosed with Covid-19 around Christmas 2021. In January of 2022 Nick was admitted into the COVID unit in Pueblo Colorado.
Nicks health continued to decline and he was placed into a medical coma and put on a ventilator on January 9th, 2022. He was eventually taken to Denver Colorado for intensive care.
In late January, Nick and his family were told his condition is not getting better and to plan for the worst. We believe Nick could hear this conversation so he kicked it up into high gear! It was many months, but Nick fought for everything he had. With his wife, Suzzette,  by his side every moment of the days...Nick slowly started to improve! Although there was more bad days than good, Nick (and Suzzette) stayed strong.

On April 25, 2022 we got the news that Nick is leaving Denver and coming home!
A lot of things have changed for Nick and Suzzette. The bills which have piled up will probably be outrageous. Nick will probably be on oxygen for the foreseeable future and their home now will have to go through a lot of changes to accommodate his medical needs.

We are asking for any kind of help. Nick is an amazing and kind hearted man. He would give the shirt off his back for any of his friends which is probably more than half of Pueblo any Rye. He has a gentle soul and loves life. I know most of us want to have a beer with Nick. He would do anything for anybody. He may be a small town man, but he has a huge heart.
