My name is Brenda, and I am asking for help during one of the most difficult times in my life and my daughter’s life.
My daughter is currently pregnant with twins and is due in just two months. What should be a joyful and exciting time has instead become a period of fear and uncertainty. She was in a domestic violence relationship and had to make the brave decision to leave in order to protect herself and her unborn babies.
When I learned what she was going through, I did what any mother would do—I dropped everything and traveled to be by her side. I wanted to make sure she was safe, supported, and not alone during this critical time. Unfortunately, in doing so, I lost my job.
Now we are facing a very real and urgent situation. We are trying to prepare for the arrival of two newborn babies with limited resources. Between securing safe housing, purchasing essential baby items like cribs, diapers, clothing, and covering medical and daily living expenses, we are overwhelmed.
My daughter has shown incredible strength leaving a dangerous situation while carrying twins. She is doing everything she can to stay strong for her babies, but we need help to give them a safe and stable start in life.
