TRENTON LOVED HIS SMALL TOWN
Velpen, Indiana(Velpeneers) is a small town with a big heart. When I lost my son, Trenton—my first love—this year, I was completely overwhelmed with grief. In that hardest time, this community wrapped around my family with love, prayers, and kindness I will never forget.
Trenton had a heart for serving others. He loved gardening and found joy in growing fresh produce just to share. He always looked forward to his little produce stand. Selling and even giving away what he grew to anyone who stopped by. He loved helping people, making them smile, and bringing others together.
To honor his memory, I would love to build Trenton’s Blessing Box in Velpen. It will be a place where anyone can leave or take food, hygiene items, household essentials, or fresh produce—no questions asked, everyone welcome.
The funds will go toward building a weather-resistant box, stocking it with supplies, adding a cooler for fresh or perishable items, and helping maintain it so it can serve our community for years to come.
This is more than a memorial. It is a way for Trenton’s kindness and love for sharing to keep touching lives every day.
My hope is that this is just the beginning. My boys and I have long dreamed of doing more for others, and one day reopening the old Baptist church as a place of hope and support. This blessing box is the first step.
If you feel led to give, any amount helps carry on Trenton’s legacy and strengthens our little community.
Thank you for helping us spread kindness—one blessing at a time.
ONE OF HIS GOALS: opening back up the Baptist church in town to bring the kids together for fellowship.
