I’m a military spouse, and every move my spouse’s service requires has meant starting my career over.
Right now we’re stationed somewhere remote, where there are barely any jobs to apply for.
That hasn’t stopped me from trying. For 24 months I’ve sent applications, built connections, picked up new skills, and knocked on every door I could find. I’m still at it.
What’s changed is the money. The longer this goes on, the harder it is to stay afloat, and I need some breathing room while I keep pushing toward that next job.
