I am writing this with tears in my eyes, and a deep pit of sadness in my heart... my mother Anna Scavola fell ill and was not mentally competent enough to go to the hospital and my entire family had to call an intervention and threaten a 302 (declaring her mentally incompetent) on her to get her to go. She spent six days in the hospital finding out her body was full of cancer and from the first day there when she asked me to feed her invisible green beans... I knew the end was near.

Day by day over those six days, I saw a lightning-fast decline, whereas only for the first three days, was she able to really speak or be coherent. The last few days of her life she could only moan in pain and sleep...

This was painful enough for a son to go through, but little did I know that I would not be left to grieve for my mother, I would not be able to help my family heal from the loss of their grandmother... because vultures were in our midst!

While I was holding my mother's hands, kissing her cheeks, telling her I love her, my uncles, aunt, and cousin were plotting to take my inheritance from me and my family of seven (mostly handicapped individuals) and give it to my uncle William, who already has a house in which he has destroyed by his own hands. They claim that they quickly wrote up a will and while she was hallucinating in the hospital, easily manipulated and led, they made her sign it.

They did this because they were counting on me to be too poor to get the retainer for a lawyer to fight it and none of them want to have my uncle William live with them because he is a known alcoholic, scam artist, and drug user.

I found a lawyer here in Philadelphia, who will take the case and said that it would be a slam dunk for his firm... however they have a $5,000 retainer which is refunded when they win. Since I can see who donates when the case is won, I will send the money back, I swear on my life!

During the last two years of her life, my mother kept trying to get loans to fix her house so I'd have something of value, had me put on the deed as next of kin if she passed, told me that I needed to make sure when I sell her house that I get a nice place for my growing family, etc...

I do not want her wishes to be thrown away because of a 60+-year-old junky who everyone treats like a child, who is already selling parts of the house for drugs and alcohol. Please help...
