Century Ride 4 The Turner Foundation:
On October 23rd 2021, I will ride 100 miles for The Turner Foundation. This century will be in Santa Barbara with the RideSB100 ride.
- Rider: Jordan Evans
- Location: Santa Barbara, CA
- Distance: 100 Miles
- Duration: 1 Day - 8 Hours of Riding
- Elevation: 9,000
This route includes climbing 9,000ft of elevation from Santa Barbara, to Carptineria, through the foothills and up the famous 7 miles climb of Gibraltar Road into the Santa Ynez Mountians, and finally down into Goleta and along the coast to downtown Santa Barbara.
Why attempt to do this?
I wanted to challenge myself and give back especially after a hard year for our local Santa Barbara community and society at large. But even more so because of the belief that a better tomorrow starts with taking care of our local community.
I believe in The Turner Foundation's mission. They are positively impacting the local community through critical programs to provide housing for low-income families, programs to mentor and inspire kids, and support families with developmental disabilities/special needs.
The Turner Foundation fills critical needs in my local Santa Barbara community and it is an honor to partner with them on this ride!
Where Donations Go
By giving to The Turner Foundation, you help them continue to positively impact the community by feeding the hungry, providing a safe place to live for low-income families, empowering youth with mentorship and tutoring (especially needed with all the remote learning due to the pandemic), supporting families with special needs, and caring for seniors.
The Turner Foundation will use your gifts where they can have the greatest impact.
About The Turner Foundation:

The Turner Foundation’s mission is to serve the community by owning and operating low-income apartment communities, as well as through programs and services.
