Amanda and Breanna met while volunteering for animal welfare organizations in New York City. They share a lifelong passion and dedication for the wellbeing of animals and our environment. Most recently, they both served as members of Friends of Finn, a next generation group founded by Amanda dedicated to ending the inhumane treatment of dogs in puppy mills. They were driven to expand their reach to other animal welfare and conservation issues, leading to their newest initiative, finn2finn Alliance.
The dream was to have the ability to react in real time to a more expansive range of issues by creating awareness, a platform to act and fundraising among likeminded people. The name "Finn" serendipitously describes two special dogs in their lives and this group is in honor of them. Amanda and Breanna's backgrounds in philanthropy and business – as well as the stories of their impactful Finns – is where the appropriate moniker finn2finn Alliance was born.
In our 2018 campaign we raised over $150,000 for our Equine Welfare Campaign for organizations like ReRun Thoroughbred Adoption in East Greenbush, NY and the White Shires of Dune Alpin Farm in East Hampton, NY. ReRun was able to purchase a lawnmower, a new washer and dryer, heavy weight blankets for winter weather and even fund the antibiotics and shoulder surgery for an injured horse. In addition, we were able to help fund the permanent winter housing for the White Shires of East Hampton, a crucial element to surviving the colder months. We are proud of the impact our donors and beneficiaries were able to make for these horses within our Equine Welfare Campaign. This campaign will remain open for those that would like to continue to support the ongoing needs of our equine welfare partners. Learn more here: www.finn2finnalliance.org/equine-welfare.
Moving forward, we are excited to share all the things we've been working on for our 2019 campaign. Stay tuned on our website www.finn2finnalliance.org and social media for more information.
100% of your donations goes directly to the cause. finn2finn Alliance is a 501C3 non-profit organization (EIN 83-0804772).
