May 21, 2025: Michelle (Valentine) Evola Obituary
April 21, 1969 – April 14, 2025
With heavy hearts, the family of Michelle (Valentine) Evola announces her peaceful passing on April 14, 2025, at the age of 55.
A resident of LaSalle, Ontario, Michelle was the beloved wife of John Evola for 12 wonderful years and the devoted mother of her two daughters, Annette and Blair, who were the pride and joy of her life. She was the cherished daughter of Linda Valentine and the late John Valentine, and a loving sister to Kaleen Councilor and her husband Dan. Michelle will also be fondly remembered by her nephew and niece, Nick and Marlena Councilor.
She will be deeply missed by her extended family in Rochester, NY, and by many dear friends whose lives she touched over the years.
Michelle had a passion for travel, whether for work or with family. She lived in both Alaska and California, embracing adventure and new experiences. Her most treasured memories were the yearly family camping trips to Grand Bend and Niagara Falls.
Above all, Michelle was devoted to her family. Her love for her daughters, Annette and Blair, and commitment to their happiness and well-being were unwavering. She was a dedicated wife, a caring mother, and a loyal friend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spotfund established to support her family, or Windsor Hospice in Michelle’s memory. A private Celebration of Life will take place later this month.
Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION (Dougall), 226-907-1836. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.simplechoicecremation.ca.
April 21, 2025: Heartbreaking 💔 News
Our hearts are broken 💔 to share that our dear Shelly has passed away after a fierce battle with triple negative breast cancer. Tragically, the cancer spread to her brain while she was fighting it in her lungs.
Today, her sister Kelly should be celebrating her 56th birthday with her twin sister, Shelly. Instead, this day is marked by the sorrow of Shelly's absence.
Despite the grief, we remain in awe of Shelly’s incredible spirit and unwavering positivity — especially for her 12-year-old girls, Annette and Blair.
Surrounded by love until the very end, Shelly asked that everyone know she loved them and cherished her time here on earth before passing peacefully in her husband John's arms.
The road ahead remains challenging for her family. If you feel moved to share their story and this fundraiser, your support would mean the world.
Thank you for the outpouring of love and generosity you've already shown. Shelly's spirit illuminated every room she entered, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. It feels like a piece of our world is missing now that she's gone. 😔💔
December 30, 2024: Challenging Update
Friends of Shelly Valentine Evola, we must again reach out for even more support as this situation has taken an unimaginable turn. 😔
Shelly's husband John has suffered a brain aneurysm this past Monday, 12/23. John had surgery on Christmas Day and remains hospitalized for the next two weeks under observation. His recovery is projected to span the next six to twelve months. Now with both John and Shelly facing serious medical challenges they need our help more than ever. This has been devastating for their twin daughters, Annette and Blair (age 12), and they need our help. With John and Shelly both unable to work for the foreseeable future, the financial strain is immense. Shelly's spirit is incredible. She's staying strong for her girls, which just shows what an amazing mom she is.
Thank you so much for even considering a donation. Every little bit helps. We've already been so touched by the outpouring of love and support, and were truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts. 💕
We love you, Shelly!

December 18, 2024: Shelly's Courageous Battle
Our dear friend, Michelle Valentine Evola, is bravely fighting a formidable opponent: triple-negative breast cancer. This aggressive form of cancer has returned, spreading to her lungs with multiple inoperable lesions. The prognosis for Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer is generally poor.
Despite this difficult news, Shelly remains determined. A loving wife to her husband, Johnny Evola, and a devoted mother to her twin 12-year-old daughters, Annette and Blair, Shelly's family is her world. She is fighting tirelessly to spend more precious moments with them.
Her prolonged battle has taken a toll on both her health and finances. Shelly has been unable to continue her work raising funds for displaced families in the greater Windsor area. Her husband, Johnny, has limited time to work as an independent contractor while caring for Shelly and their daughters.
As Shelly undergoes aggressive chemotherapy, we're raising funds to alleviate some of the financial and emotional stress associated with cancer treatment. Donations will support the family's immediate and future needs, including:
• Medical Expenses: Co-pays and other medical costs
• Basic Needs: Food, utilities, rent, and transportation
• Future Needs: Education trust for Annette & Blair
Please join us in supporting Shelly during this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and kindness!
We love you, Shelly! 💕
