Words from Yasmin, the mother of Omar-
On October 1, 2025, my son, 13-year-old Omar Rami Halawa was injured in war while walking to obtain water for our family. An Israeli airstrike hit a location close to him and after that, his right leg was amputated from above the knee. He also endured a severe wound in his left foot.
His grandfather, uncle, cousins and Omar today live in a tent that is not suitable for living. Our situation is incredibly difficult.
Omar is in desperate need of treatment, food, access to clean water and installation of a prosthetic leg. I am unable to provide the needs of our family consisting of 8 people.
Any assistance in improving our living conditions and acquiring a prosthetic for Omar is greatly appreciated and your kindness will not be forgotten.
