So to oversimplify a long and complicated story, I can’t afford to live in Florida any longer and have to move back with my tribe in Oklahoma. And I guess I shouldn’t say “have to” considering it’s been my desire to move back with my tribe for a very long time, it’s just now circumstances now dictate the necessity.
Starting life over from ground zero is terrifying to say the least. My tribe is there to support me (yakoke to my Chickasaw family) but I have to get there first! It’s like jumping out of an airplane with a parachute! Yes I’ve got a parachute, but jumping out of a plane is still terrifying!
So driving from Florida to Oklahoma is expensive, add in a U-Haul, car tow, GAS (OMG gas!!!), this alone is like $3000, them food, hotel stays, and besides all the stress of starting a whole new life, let’s just say ITS A LOT!
To be honest, I don’t feel totally comfortable setting this GoFundMe up as I feel like I’m asking for charity, but someone impressed upon me to do so. So I’m not asking or expecting much from anyone really, but I suppose ANYTHING will help with the expenses that I really just don’t have.
