Two years ago, my husband was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident that tragically resulted in the loss of a life. As a result, he was charged with vehicular homicide and reckless driving. We continue to express our deepest sorrow to the family affected by this tragedy. At the same time, we believe my husband was not given his basic right to a fair trial, and we have strong grounds for an appeal.
The aftermath of the accident changed our lives in more ways than one. My husband, a military veteran, was other than honorably discharged because of the charges brought against him. He also sustained a serious injury to his arm in the crash causing complete nerve damage and an arterial bypass. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, he still cannot use it—a daily struggle that adds to the emotional and physical toll on our family.
We have two young children, ages 1 and 4, who miss their dad terribly. His incarceration has made it incredibly difficult for me to keep up with bills, manage child care, and cover the rising legal costs. We are doing everything we can to bring him home—but to do that, we urgently need the help of a skilled attorney.
