Hello friends, family and strangers,
My name is Danielle Wilson and this fundraiser is for my mother, brother and sister, who just experienced an unimaginable tragedy. On the evening of Friday, April 3rd at about 6:30pm their apartment caught fire and destroyed all of their belongings and claimed the lives of 1 dog, Hermes and 4 cats, Dotti, Ringo, Madonna, Jager and 4 freshly newborn kittens that weren’t alive long enough to be named. Thankfully my mother, Staci and sister, Angelina made it out with their lives and 1 dog, Zeus. My brother Felix Wilson was caught at work and had to listen to this disaster play out over the phone. The emotional pain of losing their animals along with their home is something no family should ever have to endure.
Right now, Felix, Staci and Angelina are trying to process this loss while also figuring out how to rebuild their lives from the ground up.
We are asking for help from anyone who is able to donate, share or offer support. All funds raised will go towards helping them with immediate and long-term needs, including:
- Emergency housing and temporary shelter
- Clothing and shoes
- Food and daily necessities
- Toiletries and household essentials
- Replacing furniture and basic home items
- Rebuilding costs and unexpected expenses
- Pet-related expenses and Memorial costs
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Even if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser so it can reach more people.
Thank you for your kindness, support, prayers, and love during this incredibly painful time.
With gratitude,
The Wilsons

UPDATE! From my mom Staci and sister Angel
Words can’t even begin to describe the weight of the loss we’ve suffered and the sheer gratitude and surprise we’ve suffered and the sheer gratitude and surprise we feel at the support shown by the whole community. We are truly deeply touched.
Losing everything has been a horribly lonely experience, especially losing all of our beloved animals (may they find peace).
But through the barrage of kind words, big hugs, surprise visits, and donations, we’re finding the space to grieve, recover, and find a way to keep going on. Our pets were like our family.
Through your help, we’re beginning to feel so much less alone, so incredibly supported and loved.
We truly had no idea how much support we would get, how many people would show up en-masse to shower us is donations, love, thoughts and prayers.
Someday we hope we can pay forward even a fraction of the kindness people worldwide have shown us. We will keep you all updated on how we are doing and what is going on. Thank you 💕
