Dear all,
My close friend Muhammed, a young attorney living in Gaza with his family (who I've known for 5 years - https://www.instagram.com/moammedhosam87/), originally from the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in North Gaza, was recently injured on his leg by shrapnel in the serial assault on Gaza, and as a result is struggling to survive financially and provide for his family. Since October 2023, his family has been displaced 5 times:
1) from North Gaza, where his mother was killed in an airstrike, to Rafah
2) from Rafah, where his wife gave birth to his newborn under unbearable duress, to Khan Younis
3) from Khan Younis, which was raided multiple times, to Bureij, back when it still had buildings
4) from Bureij, which was reduced to rubble, to Gaza city
5) from Gaza City, which is currently under carpet combing, which Muhammed *narrowly* escaped, to Bureij refugee camp, living in rubble
Ā

Muhammed is limping due to his recent injury, and the post-bombing shutdown has cut off his previous legal workstream. His wife gave birth during the bombing, was diagnosed with Covid earlier and he is struggling to provide for her and his kids. Any assistance we can provide will help Muhammed survive this difficult phase and test, so he can at least take care of shelter, groceries, medication, and essential needs for his family.
Here is a video Muhammed recorded when visiting his original home:
And this is currently where Mohammed's family is staying
If the fundraising goal is met, Muhammad's anticipated budget is:
$6000 shelter - three tents or 1 local shelter to accomodate Muhammed's family and the extended family he is responsible for 2-3 months (each tent is $1000 or local shelter $2000/month due to scarcity of supply)
$2500 groceries (Gaza's border closure and supply shortage caused inflation has raised food costs to minimum $50-75 per day)
$500 medication for Muhammed, his wife, and newborn, and vaccine / immunity kit from polio outbreak currently in Gaza
This is the only fundraiser for Muhammed's family - he was very reluctant to ask for help. I have known him since 2020 and he is a very humble person. Much-anticipated UN aid to Gaza has been blocked by Israel, is and the limited aid that is distributed by "GHF" is a death trap as GHF employs mercenaries who shoot at Palestinians waiting in line (twice as many palestinians have been killed waiting in GHF lines than Israelis on October 7). Note: due to withdrawal restrictions, I will be personally transferring 100% of funds raised to Muhammed directly, and can provide transaction receipt of it to anyone who would like one.
With Eternal Love,
Parv
