So many people have reached out to offer live for Bacon after she passed, and ask if there's anything they can do for her so I thought I'd post a go fund me to give anyone who wants to the opportunity to contribute to her memorial. Most of you guys will know that there is a little plot of grass near our house, with some trees and some flowers and a little bench, which has been Bacons spot for the last 4 years. Every day she'd hang out in that spot and wait for her friends in the neighborhood to say hi, or hunt gophers, or just sunbathe. I've been planning to ask the city of SF to fix up that bench and put a plaque on it for her for the last two years, to really make that her spot and so that anyone who wants to feel her can just go sit on her bench and know she's there with them.
So this is Bacons memorial bench fund - anyone can who wants to contribute is most appreciated and loved. I'll probably keep it up for a couple of weeks and then pay the rest myself - and once it's ready maybe have a little gathering for her there.
from the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who loves her. She was the light on my heart and brought moments of joy and contentment to so many people, and it's meant everything to me to hear you guys reaching out to tell me. So thank you. Thank you thank you thank you.
