This fund is for my parents who experienced significant property damage and emotional turmoil from Hurricane Helene flooding.
My father is an ex-marine who works hard at his full-time job and also taking care of my mother, who has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The cancer has gotten to the point where she weighs under a hundred pounds And is hooked up to a feeding tube so she is too weak and sick to help with cleanup efforts.
Unfortunately, during all of the poor weather and cleanup from the storm, their cat, Talon, got a nasty infection and passed away a few days ago, just further exacerbating the pain from the loss. She was a stray in the neighborhood that my mother had rescued and she snuck out of the house when my father was trying to move out some of the damaged furniture. The day that she was found and attempted to be taken to the vet, she passed away before she could receive medical care.
My parents' flood insurance policy is not enough to cover all of the structural damage and clean up needed. They also do not have any personal contents insurance. They lost their beds, couches, appliances, and many expensive tools in the garage as well as vehicles.
Any assistance would be momentously appreciated given the many hardships of this year on top of the flood damage and loss of their pet from Hurricane Helene. 100% of the proceeds will be going to this brave veteran and his equally
brave wife fighting the battle with very aggressive cancer. Please help!
