I was diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri/ Intracranial Hypertension two years ago. A rare condition that causes excess fluid to build in the brain, while also not allowing fluid to drain properly. This creates an environment of constant pressure compressing my brain and optical nerves. Since my diagnosis, I've undergone multiple failed medications, hospitalizations, and 20+ spinal taps. We are finally at the point where we have no other option than to proceed with surgery...
This surgery is very risky and, unfortunately, can lead to quite a few complications. Due to all of this, I've been placed on medical leave and won't be allowed to return back to work until after I've completely recovered from surgery.
During this time, medical costs are mounting, and I've been reduced to half-pay. I've had so many people reach out, asking how they can help, and as much as I never thought I would end up turning to something like this, honestly, any little amount helps right now. All funds raised will go directly towards bills and medical expenses, helping to keep us afloat during this time.
I am so appreciative of all the support, well-wishes, and prayers from you all during this time. Not only for me, but for my family as well. π
