Veterans Transportation Program - Goal Reached, Program Moving Forward

Friends and Supporters,

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we are proud to share that we have officially surpassed our $80,000 goal, raising over $83,000 to fund a new wheelchair-accessible vehicle for the Abington Veterans Transportation Program.

This is a major milestone. What once felt uncertain is now a reality because of the many individuals, businesses, and organizations who came together to support this effort.

As we move into the next phase, we are grateful to share that Blue Collar Customs in Abington has stepped forward to refine the vehicle design and complete the full vehicle wrap at no cost. Their support will ensure the vehicle not only serves a critical purpose, but also properly honors those it represents.

With the vehicle now moving into the purchase and preparation phase, we want to share that donations are still being accepted through the Town of Abington to support the long-term success of this program.

All future contributions will go directly toward the Veterans Transportation Program to help cover operational needs and any out-of-pocket costs. While Abington Sunoco has generously committed to providing maintenance for the vehicle at no cost to the Town, additional support will help ensure the program remains sustainable and responsive to the needs of our Veterans and their families.

If you would like to continue supporting this effort, donations may be made payable to:

Abington Veterans Services – Veteran Transport Program

Checks may be mailed to:

Town of Abington - Veterans Services
Attn: Adam Gunn
500 Gliniewicz Way
Abington, MA 02351

Donations of $250 are tax deductible and a donation acknowledgment letter can be provided upon request.

This program will provide free transportation to medical appointments for Abington Veterans, their widows, and Gold Star families, ensuring access to care and support when it is needed most.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this possible. The impact of this effort will be felt for years to come.

Respectfully,
Adam Gunn, USN, Retired CPO
