On Friday evening, March 21, our beloved Raquel Torres-Sawyer, a devoted wife, mother, school nurse, and cherished member of the Little Elm ISD, City of Prosper, and City of Carrollton communities, was tragically taken from us. While making a routine left turn, Raquel’s vehicle was struck by a speeding driver who ran a red light. The driver, later identified as a repeat offender, was charged with intoxication-manslaughter.
Raquel was more than just a school nurse—she was a caring soul dedicated to helping others. She leaves behind her loving husband and two children, whose worlds have been shattered by this unimaginable loss.
We are setting up this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden on the Torres-Sawyer family during this painful time. Donations will go toward funeral expenses, immediate financial support, and ensuring her family has the stability they need as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
