Kaylee was crossing the street and was hit by a pickup truck.  The driver took off and currently the police are trying to identify the vehicle.  Kaylee has 5 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and broken leg. Any support is very much appreciated.

Kaylee is doing a little better today. They took off her neck brace. Kaylee also wiggled her toes and squeezed my hand. She still has a breathing tube in but wakes for very brief amount of time. Surgery for her broken leg went well. There isn't anything they can do for her broken ribs but let them heal

We appreciate all the well wishes and prayers

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

We are overjoyed to share that Kaylee is now home from the hospital and is making incredible progress. She has come a long way in her recovery and although she still has a long road ahead, her strength and determination are inspiring. Kaylee is now walking with the aid of crutches and will begin physical therapy next week.  Her ribs and lung are healing well, though she is still unable to speak above a whisper. She will be seeing ear, nose, and throat specialists next week to further address her recovery.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been there for Kaylee during this challenging time. A special thank you to the bystanders who stopped and helped after Kaylee was hit, especially Ratch  and Deb’s pizza. Your kindness and quick actions meant the world to us.

Thank you to the paramedics who arrived swiftly and cared for Kaylee in those critical moments. Your professionalism and compassion were a comfort during such a traumatic time.

We are also incredibly grateful to the law enforcement agencies, especially the Oshkosh Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, for their tireless efforts in finding the person responsible for this incident. Your dedication has given us much-needed peace of mind.

Lastly, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Theda Clark Hospital for the outstanding care Kaylee received. Every member of the medical team treated her with such skill and kindness, and we are beyond grateful for their care and support.

Kaylee still has a long road ahead, but we are hopeful and confident in her strength and the incredible support we’ve received from all of you. Thank you again for being there for us, for your prayers, and for your unwavering support.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The family of Kaylee Jackson

Kaylee was able to stand up and sit up today and is off the ventilator and got her chest tube removed. She is making progress day by day and thanks everybody for the well wishes.
