My 12 year old baby, Boo Bear, has developed congestive heart failure secondary to his thyroid disease. I was able to get him stabilized at the emergency room, but he will need more tests and treatment and ongoing medication to bring his heart condition under control and manage his hyperthyroidism. The projected total costs of the imaging, procedures, and meds will be around $5,000.
If you know me even a little, you know Boo Bear is my child, my sweetest, most innocent baby. He recently graduated emotional support school and is a major reason I am able to cope with my daily struggles with mental illness. I would give my life for his if I could. He is my whole heart and soul and I don't know what I would ever do without him. If anyone can help him, please, share this as far and wide as you can. I need him to pull through this.
