Mission Statement
Prostate Cancer Awareness for Life raises funds to support education to raise awareness about prostate cancer for the local community and national level. Together we can make a difference through education, increasing awareness, assistance, advocacy, creating new medical technologies and procedures, and finding a cure for prostate cancer.
Who We Are
Our non-profit organization was founded in 2020. We provide an important service for men and their families as we promote the message of routine screening for prostate cancer diagnosis. We also partner with local community health service organizations and national organizations as well (Prostate Cancer Foundation, Zero Prostate Cancer).
The year 2017 my father was diagnosed with 4th stage prostate cancer. He battled cancer for two years until 2019, when he passed. In 2020 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. For 8 years prior, I had been monitoring my PSA levels, had MRIs, and had biopsies performed. Through surgery, I am now cancer free. I know how important it is to do routine screening and to catch it early!
In memory and honor of my father, we started the Prostate Cancer Awareness for Life organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
100% of the net money raised is dedicated towards education, awareness, assistance, advocacy, and research for prostate cancer. All our organization is volunteers.
