Our Dog Luka,
Luka (one of the left) is a 8 year old Alaskan Malamute Husky Mix. She will be 9 in October. Luka is the best and greatest dog ever to me and my family. We got her at 6 weeks old. She loves to play, do tricks, and be her gentle self. Luka loves to go up to our cabin and swim and play with the other dogs. She has never been known to have any problems or show any signs of anything up until March of 2023. One day we all woke up and luka couldn’t use her back legs anymore. She can’t get up to go to the bathroom, to eat, play, nothing at this point. She is able to sit up on her own but she cannot stand or move around without support. We have taken luka to the vet, we’ve done lazer therapy, and the vet had recommend to get an MRI. Unfortunately, money is tight and we’ve done everything that we could for the last few months to try and help her as best as we can. Our luka Will unfortunately go to the bathroom all over herself on the floor and when we try to get her outside because she is not understanding what is going on. We just need answers, and we don’t want to have to put her down over this because I know she has life left in her. She just wants to get up so badly and play but all she can do is be depressed laying down. Luka was a gift to me when I was 16 years old and she’s been my best friend ever since. I am just not ready to let her go. I just need answers and to get help to try and have her live the rest of her life as a happy girl. If anyone is able to help, anything, it would mean the world to me if I could get her a happy ending. The cost of living is insane, and as we all know medical bills pile and pile up. If your able to donate anything, i would very much so be grateful but I understand if you cant, if you can share my post to get my story out there for Luka that would be great too. The donations will be used towards vet visits, MRI if able, chiropractic care, and therapy and the main thing the donations will be used for is a wheelchair for her to enjoy what she can. Thank you so much for reading and spreading my story.
