Music is life for so many people - encouraging, uplifting, calming and inspiring. It brings us together and can override the troubles you're going through. Inventioning believes in the power of music to bring healing and comfort to those who hear it. In short, we believe in miracles!
Inventioning is all about creating unique, high-level musical works and we've been gifted with a team of extraordinary musicians who are helping us fulfill this vision. Additionally, every musician on the Inventioning projects have worked with some of the biggest names in the history of music.
This musical endeavor began with the collaboration of Jon Anderson of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, prog-rock group YES and producer/multi-instrumentalist Michael Lewis. Jon and Michael worked together on many projects between 2007 and 2014.
In 2014 the band concept expanded when legendary jazz-violinist Jean Luc Ponty agreed to join the project. The name Inventioning was chosen, but later dropped in favor of the name "The Anderson-Ponty Band." The Anderson-Ponty band went on to release an album and perform two tours before disbanding.
Producer Michael Lewis made the decision to carry on with the name Inventioning, adding vocalist Bridgette Lewis and maintaining the original line up of players that worked on the projects before the Anderson-Ponty band. Michael also connected with Oliver Wakeman, son of the original keyboardist for the band YES to add keyboards for the Inventioning project.
So far they have released two songs and two music videos. Inventioning is preparing to release their third and most important work to date with guest artists Jon Anderson and Jean Luc Ponty, it is entitled Some People.
The song is finished and the release date has been announced! The song will be released on 10/21/21! We are working on the music video for this new song along with a documentary about the history of the band and the song, but like all their music and videos, they are self-funded and we are monitarily challenged.
Your support will enable this talented group to commit (more) time and resources to produce and edit the video(s). Creating professional music videos is time consuming and expensive but with your help, it will be much easier to accomplish. If there is any surplus, it will be used for producing additional music and related videos.
All donations over $25 will get your name included on the credits of the new Some People music video. All donations of $100 or more. will get you a poster of the Some People artwork, signed by Bridgette and Michael Lewis.
In addition to donations, you can support the group by sharing this spotfund and purchasing the singles they have available online, Walking Talking, Some People and Onward and be sure to check out their epic Onward music video filmed at a series of lighthouses on the Oregon Coast.
Thanks in advance for your support!
