Turtle the Bulldog needs to breathe…
We’d like you to meet Turtle. He’s a loving six month old English Bulldog. We already have a five year old bulldog so when a friend called saying this guy needed a home, and he may be put down the next day, we reacted immediately.
Turtle has Brachycephalic airway syndrome, along with an elongated soft palette and a small trachea. The first two are unfortunate defects with dogs like bulldogs and it will require surgery. We want nothing more than to provide Turtle the chance to be loved and live a happy pet life. He is doing better over the last few days, but we can tell he wants to run and play, but he just needs air.
I’m a teacher and my wife works in higher education. The surgery is predicted to cost around $3500. This should help Turtle with his soft palette surgery, widening of the nares in his nose, and getting fixed, if he tolerates anesthesia well.
I have always hated asking for help, I reluctantly ask for you to look at Turtle and to help us save him. All our dogs have lived long and very happy lives. We only want help to provide the same for Turtle.

Turtle's surgery is scheduled and he should be on the road to recovery this week.
