- Please help me to get back on my feet. I am 66yr. old and I'm about to be homeless and lose everything. It all started when I caught long COVID followed by pneumonia. I was sick for over 2 months and I'm still unable to work. During my illness I had to put my Mother in a nursing home and her belongings in storage. I have arthritis in my hands and feet, I also have diabetes, heart failure, and high blood pressure. This year has been overwhelming, my landlord increased my rent by $500.00 per month. I am living off my Social Security check which is not enough to pay rent, utilities, and put food on the table. I applied for SNAP benefits but was approved for only $93 per month. Last month my car broke down and is irreparable. Please help any way you can.
