On January 17, 2026, our lives changed forever. Our beautiful daughter Caiyra Butler was tragically killed in a car accident as a backseat passenger after not wearing a seatbelt. Caiyra was only 25 years old — full of life, love, laughter, and light. She was the kind of person who could walk into any room and instantly make it brighter. To know her was to love her.
Now, through unimaginable heartbreak, we are determined to make sure her life continues to save others.
What happened to Caiyra can happen to anyone. Many people still don’t realize how important it is to buckle up in the backseat EVERY SINGLE TIME they ride. Our mission is to bring nationwide awareness to the importance of “Buckling Up in the Back” and to encourage drivers to check and make sure every passenger is safely buckled before driving away.
In honor of Caiyra’s beautiful spirit, we are launching our very first awareness event:
💜 “CAI DAY” 💜
Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM
The Elks Aidmore Organization
2394 Morrison Road SW
Conyers, GA 30094
This fundraiser will help us open the doors of the Foundation, fund our first community awareness event, create educational materials, and continue spreading this life-saving message in Caiyra’s name.
We are asking for your support — whether through a donation big or small, a share, or simply helping us spread the message. Every effort, no matter what, helps us turn our pain into purpose and helps keep another family from experiencing this kind of loss.
Please share this message with your family, friends, coworkers, and social media contacts:
“We are helping spread awareness about the importance of wearing seat belts in the backseat. Please support this mission in any way you can.”
Thank you for helping us honor Caiyra’s legacy, keep her light shining, and save lives in her memory. We would love to meet and thank all of our supporters in person on September 5th.
With Love,
Corey and Danyel
