On Thursday, Katy Anna had an accident at work and broke her metatarsal. She needs surgery and there is no weight bearing for 8-12 weeks and no driving for at least that long. She will have to be off work for an extended amount of time, resulting in a large amount of lost income, which puts the family in a rough spot. It also means struggles to get the kids to and from their commitments. This has been a huge blow at the same time as our mother has been facing a major crisis.
I'm trying to raise enough money that they can stay on their feet during this discouraging time. But I would encourage you, if you're local, to connect with Katy Anna if you're able to help with transporting kids or other needs. There will be a meal train as well.
