In early 2023, we suffered an unfortunate fire that forced us to close our doors. Despite countless setbacks, we chose to push forward and fight to reopen—even when the odds seemed stacked against us. Without your support along the way, it would have been easy to call it quits.
With high hopes, we signed the lease for our new space in July 2024. After a long wait and countless set backs, our building permits were finally approved in February 2025, and by April our build-out was underway. During this time, we kept Paranormal Pizza alive by hosting limited pop-ups, but with expenses like rent, loans, payroll, and food costs, those events never allowed us to turn a profit. Things were moving smoothly until recently, when unexpected inspection requirements pushed us beyond our budget.
Today, our project is 95% complete and we are just weeks away from reopening—but we’ve run out of funds to cross the finish line.
Many of you generously offered to support us after the fire, but at that time we didn’t accept donations because we truly believed we’d be back in business within a few months. Nearly two years later, after a longer and tougher journey than we ever imagined, we are so close to making that dream a reality. We just need one last push to get there.
