Dear Friends and Neighbors,My name is Lawrence Kuehne, but many know me as Cougar. For over a century, my family has been deeply rooted in the land around Keller, Washington. This is more than just a place for me; it's my heritage, it's where my soul resides. Passed down from my grandparents, who braved the depression, to me, I've carried on the tradition of cattle ranching, a testament to my family's legacy.Life, however, took an unforeseen turn. Just a few days before my birthday, my house was cruelly taken from me in a devastating fire, now under investigation for suspected arson. It's not just a home that was destroyed. It's a lifetime of memories, cherished photographs of family and items of irreplaceable sentimental value—everything that told the story of my 67 years on this earth. To lose a home is to lose a part of oneself. This incident didn't just burn my belongings; it burnt the essence of who I am—a testament to my past and everything I have built. It took with it my means to support myself; the tools, the heirlooms, my cherished mementos, and the heart of my livelihood. My dream is to rebuild the sanctuary that has been my life's anchor. I humbly reach out to you, hoping for a sliver of generosity. At 67, the thought of starting over seems daunting, and I cannot do it alone. Any support, from the smallest gesture to the largest help, would be appreciated beyond words, reaching the very depths of my soul.I hold hope in my heart that justice will prevail against those responsible, and in the meantime, I ask for your help. Help me restore the legacy of my family, one brick, one board at a time. Please, find it in your heart to contribute to this cause of rebuilding, to ensure that my story, my life, and my legacy continue where it rightfully belongs—in Keller, Washington.Your kindness and compassion will not only rebuild a house but will restore a life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.Sincerely,
Lawrence "Cougar" Kuehne
