Title: Helping Honor My Mother’s Final Wishes
My name is Andrea , and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult moments of my life. My mother, Guadalupe, has been my world. For the past year and a half, I’ve been her full-time caregiver, supporting her through her health challenges and doing my best to make sure she felt loved, comfortable, and never alone.
As her condition has worsened, I have been preparing for the heartbreaking reality of her passing. My mother’s final wish is to be cremated, and I want more than anything to honor that. Unfortunately, the financial cost of the funeral and cremation is more than I can manage on my own. Because I’ve been caring for her full-time, I’ve been unable to work, and once she passes, I will no longer have the small income that helped sustain us during her care.
This is why I’m turning to my community for support. Asking for help is never easy, but I’m doing so with humility and gratitude. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward covering her cremation, funeral arrangements, and the essential expenses that follow as I work to rebuild my life after this loss.
