I am making this a very simple request as I hesitated to go this route, but am out of options....
My son is a divorced father of 4.
He is needing assistance to continue to have his home for himself and his 4 children until we can get arrangements in place for him to be able to do so on his own.
After working a full-time job and a part-time job and paying child support, he is left with maybe $800 a month to pay rent, utilities, and basic living expenses. Assistance programs and low-cost housing do not take into account the child support, so qualifying is unlikely.
I do not have the finances to help any further, and this is the only option I have left that I can come up with to get him the help he needs. He needs $1000 for rent per month (which November is due now) and December will be here before we know it. I am hoping we can keep them where they are at least until after the holidays allowing time for modifications to hopefully happen and find them cheaper housing..
We have reached out to all local organizations that we can think of. I now can only pray that I can reach out beyond our community and on a more personal level, and find help.
Unfortunately, I cannot share this on social media as that would create additional issues with someone that he just does not need.
Any support you can offer is appreciated. Whether it's a small personal donation and/or sharing with other people or organization that might be able to help.
You don't know us and we likely aren't even in the same community, but this is my last resort for helping my son and grandchildren to hopefully get back on track.
