Relocating for Stability, Family, and a Better Future for My Daughter
For years, my goal has been simple and consistent: to build a stable, healthy life for myself and my daughter near supportive family — not to settle permanently in survival mode.
I previously lived on the West Coast and in the Pacific Northwest, places where I felt aligned, hopeful, and actively building toward a future. I returned to the East Coast during a difficult season in my family’s life, wanting to be present before my grandmother passed and to support loved ones facing serious health challenges. That decision came from love — but it also altered the course of my life in ways I couldn’t have anticipated.
During that time, I experienced deep personal upheaval. I went through a period of deconstruction, questioning my faith, my direction, and my purpose. In the midst of that confusion, after years of celibacy, I became pregnant — and suddenly found myself stuck in a place that was never meant to be permanent.
What followed was not a lack of effort, but a lack of support.
I experienced homelessness, hunger, and instability during pregnancy. I lost my car. I navigated the NYC shelter system, including a maternity home, while preparing to bring a child into the world with no family nearby and no reliable support from her father. To this day, any assistance from him has required extensive conflict, and the majority of what my daughter and I own has come through donations, shelter resources, and an Amazon wish list.
This city has never been where I planned to raise children. With skyrocketing rent, food costs, and no family network here, survival has taken precedence over growth — and that’s not the life I want for my daughter.
This fund exists to help us relocate closer to family — people who can be present in my daughter’s life, who I have opportunities to collaborate and build businesses with, and who offer the stability that every child deserves. This move would allow me to:
- Rebuild long-term stability
- Return to school
- Grow my content creation and business ideas
- Raise my daughter in community, not isolation
This is not about luxury. It’s about transitioning from survival to sustainability.
If you choose to donate, you are directly helping a mother and child move toward safety, family, and opportunity — and I am deeply grateful for every form of support, whether financial, shared, or simply read with compassion.
