Dear Hive,

2026 has begun with the exciting development of three new therapeutic apiaries being built under our supervision in the Negev region of southern Israel. These apiaries will serve the trauma affected population (veterans and youth from the communities around Gaza strip) in the south. As we expand our facilities, we also need to train more beekeepers to become trauma-informed beekeeping instructors.

We kindly ask for your help in spreading the word, as we are seeking additional funding for top-tier lecturers in trauma and animal-assisted therapy to enhance the instructors' training program.

I am attaching couple of videos: one show the progress of the Ruca's Farm apiary since summer of 2024, and the other the beginning/ planning of the new  apiaries in the south.

Dear Hive ,

BeeWell -il continues to grow with the Hebrew name of דרך הדב"ש (Derech HaDvash = Honey Trail to Rehabilitation). We are honored to have been invited to the President’s Residence on the eve of Rosh Hashanah to celebrate the Jewish New Year, together with fellow Israeli beekeepers who made a positive impact this year. We are now working on opening two more Honey Trail centers one in the north and the other in the south of Israel so more veterans can access this unique path for wellness. Thank you all for your continued support.

Thanks to your kindness and generosity we were able to purchase a 3 frame manual honey extracting centrifuge and some surround honey harvest equipment. One of our latest cohorts already had the chance to use it. Enjoy the short video below.

Beekeeping for Veterans at Ruca's Farm just commenced the 2025 cohorts. Thank you all for your donations and support! We grew the apiary, we purchased more protective gear.
Our last need for now is a centrifuge, small manual operated honey harvest machine.
