Kaitlyn, Aria’s 22-year-old mother, formerly a creative choreographer, dance studio director and teacher, is diagnosed as a “Covid Long Hauler”…basically, she is now negative from Covid, but her body has not been able to recover and is breaking down.
Although the emergency room said she tested negative at the time, they now think she had Covid since the end of November until mid-January (she is negative now). She continued to push herself and go to work although she often felt like she was dying and was suffering from chest pain, irregular heartbeats, and weakness. Finally, on Wednesday, January 12, she went to the hospital where they diagnosed her as a Covid Long Hauler with double lung infection and pneumonia. In the last few weeks she has been to a total of four different hospitals but they are not able to help her. They have basically sent her home to die.
From Kaitlyn's mother, Beth Greenwalt:
Kaitlyn is one of five children, our younger daughter, and the primary caretaker of a precious four-year-old daughter who desperately needs her mommy. “When are you going to be better, Mommy?”, she asks.
We are blessed with some kind, caring local doctors and many friends and relatives and churches who are praying and want to help, with food and prayers and service, including helping with chores to help keep our REACH Ministries non-profit farm ministry going. I don’t know how we would be making it otherwise. We have heard of some therapies that have been effective in turning around the situation for other Long Haulers, in particular a non-profit group working with adult stem cell therapy.
Please join us in prayer for our daughter Kaitlyn’s recovery and well being, Thank you for your care and generosity in any ways you feel led.
“Please don’t let my mommy die” -Aria
