The City Of Louisville Is Trying To Take My Home

My name is Kenneth Luck I am a disabled man that has also recently had a stroke and I’m pretty sure that was due to the stress the city of Louisville has put me under, the stroke has left me with permanent damage to my vision, nor can I read or write thank god for talk to text.  My house was built by habitat for humanity 20+ years ago and I was able to get it paid off. About 5 years ago I started having trouble with code violations the city put on my house, every time I would attempt to Correct the code violations the city would show back up tear down whatever I did after bullying me out of the way clean up their mess never fix nothing and then find me again I’m only one person and can only work so fast I’m disabled on a fixed income so I only have so much money but that doesn’t matter to them. I have reached out to every program I could possibly find to try to receive help and everyone says they’re either not taking an applications or they are out of funds to help anybody code and regulations are put in place so they say to keep the residence of Louisville safe and in their homes but now it seems they’re using them to run disabled low income people out of their homes I truly believe they just want my property not only have they done this with my house they have came and taken four cars from me one being a 1971 GTO that I worked on and for my entire life they had no reason to touch it it was completely legal and had classic tags on it it ran it was beautiful when I asked the guy why he was pulling it off he looked around and said because he had a flat tire and I told him I do that intentionally to keep people from stealing the car it didn’t matter they took my car I called every day for the next month to the city of Louisville to try to find my car and they kept telling me we don’t have it we don’t know until one day a friend contacted me and asked me if I was selling my GTO and I told them no and he informed me that the city had obviously put it on dealersonly.com and the auctioned off for $17,000 now did they put any of that money towards my fines? No. Where did that money go? I have no idea and no one will tell me anything. and that was only one vehicle they also took my 2010 Camaro that was completely legal that they had no reason to touch and they also took my F150 truck. I will believe me once I can get my house squared away and get back in it I will definitely go after the city over my vehicles but right now I’m facing the issue of being homeless they’ve ran me out of my property and told me I cannot live there they’ve boarded it up and also told me that if they catch me or anyone else on the property they will be arrested so how am I supposed to go over there and make any improvements on it or updates on it if they won’t even let me on the property but yet they continue to go over there insight me for violations and give me more fines. none of this makes sense so I’m asking for help from my community since no program will help me the city will not help me and I’m gonna lose my home over these cold violations. my home is located at 300 Short St., Louisville, KY 40212 and it’s one of the newer houses in my area every other home down there is 50+ years old and mine is about 20 years old once I make these updates and pay my funds for these updates I can be back in my home and until then I’m a homeless man just looking for help Please if you were able to help in anyway whether that be financially or you know another program I can give a call please do.
