On August 14th, our world turned upside down when we received the devastating news that Mochi has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Mochi is not just a pet; he's a cherished member of our family, and his presence has brought boundless joy to our lives every day.

The Diagnosis: Mochi's journey took an unexpected turn when we learned about his cancer diagnosis. It's a battle no one should have to face, especially not our vibrant 5-year-old companion. We were heartbroken but determined to do everything in our power to help him.

The Treatment Plan: Mochi is currently receiving treatment at Silver Maple in Kutztown. On August 30th, he began his first round of chemotherapy, following the CHOP protocol along with holistic alternatives. We believe in exploring all available options to give Mochi the best chance at a long, healthy, and happy life.

Our Plea: Today, we reach out to you, our dear friends, family, and fellow animal lovers, to join us in Mochi's fight against cancer. Together, we can make a difference in his life. Your support means more than words can express.

Mochi's Fight: Every contribution, whether large or small, brings us one step closer to our goal. Mochi's resilience inspires us daily, and with your help, we can continue to be there for him.

Our Promise: We promise to keep you updated on Mochi's progress throughout his treatment journey. Your kindness will not go unnoticed, and we will forever be grateful for your support.

Please consider donating to Mochi's Spotfund campaign. Together, we can give him the chance he deserves to beat cancer and enjoy many more years of wagging tails, playful moments, and cherished memories. Thank you for being a part of Mochi's story, and for helping us ensure that he lives a long, healthy, and happy life.

Thank you everyone for the all the love and support. I am so grateful for everyone's help. You've impacted Mochis, my son's, and my life forever with your generosity & hope.

I'm so deeply sad to announce that after a 10 month long battle Mochi passed on today. I feel devastated so please, if you see me, I'm not in the right place to talk about it right now. He passed at home & is being cremated. Mochi was an incredible friend, the absolute sweetest buddy ever, and Ill miss him forever. I still cant believe hes gone.

Hello, everyone! I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible love and support during this challenging time with Mochi's battle against lymphoma. I apologize for the delay in updating, but it's been a whirlwind of vet visits and emotional roller coasters.

Mochi has already completed two months of chemotherapy, his complete blood count checks have been coming back great & he regains a few pounds every visit! Mochi was doing remarkably well until his last infusion, which took a unexpected turn. During the last treatment, an unfortunate accident occurred, a vein blew out. Initially, we thought it might have been just saline, but it turned out to be the chemotherapy drug itself. As a result, Mochi is now battling necrosis, which has been increasingly uncomfortable & painful for him.

Currently, Mochi is on a regimen of two antibiotics, gabapentin to manage the pain, and a probiotic paste to support his digestion. He's been quite lethargic lately, spending most of his days resting. I need to carry him outside for his bathroom breaks. It's not easy to witness him in this state. Part of me feels guilty for even beginning treatment.

Today, we have another appointment scheduled to change his bandages and assess his condition. Please keep Mochi in your thoughts and send him healing vibes.

I will do my best to keep you updated on his progress. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there for Mochi and our family during this trying journey. I'm immensely grateful. Ill post a quick update tonight after his visit and also follow along on instagram @handsome.mochi for more frequent updates!

WOW!! Thank you so much everyone!! We are so grateful for all the support! Mochi's second treatment was not as harsh as the first round thankfully.  At the second appointment we found out that he had lost 14 pounds. Before they administered the second dose the Vet checked vitals and did blood work to be sure that he could handle that weeks intravenous treatment. He was sleepy after that appointment but overall his appetite has greatly improved, his mood is better and all lymph nodes except two have reduced in size and are back to normal! He absolutely loves his home cooked meals, especially steamed broccoli. Below is the very first bill we got at the emergency center & includes the diagnosis. After that is what is due so far. Thank you everyone again for your generosity and love! Today Mochi gets another treatment, this time it will be 4 pills to take home. I hope that we find out that he has gained some weight and that his vitals are looking better than before. Mochi also now has an Instagram page so everyone can follow along and get daily updates on how hes doing and what hes up to. Its @handsome.mochi. Here are a few photos of how hes doing now, a trip to the vet, & how swollen he was on the day we took him to the emergency center.

These are a few estimates for his 3 month long weekly treatments. He is also on Prednisone, APOCAPS, Omega 3's, 500mg CBD, Cerenia, Metronidazole, & Pro-Pectalin. We got the diagnosis because of an emergency vet visit and then were referred to an oncologist in Malvern, PA.

Mochi is doing okay overall. He had a few days of diarrhea and vomiting as well as loss of appetite. Thankfully he is eating again and the swollen glands have already disappeared. He is on the slimmer side now but I have faith that he will regain weight soon. His next appointment is this coming Wednesday.

Thank you for reading, sharing & donating! If you have any questions please reach out!
