This is a post that my sister-in-law posted on social media. They could use some help with an upcoming surgery for their daughter.
I've gone back and forth on whether to even make a post. But nine and half years ago, our family and friends and their communities lifted us up in prayer for the the safe arrival of Adley and her health. We will never know all the people who flooded heaven's gates on her behalf. And here we are again asking for you to pray our sweet Adley Grace. God worked miracles then, and we are believing He can heal her body again whether that's supernaturally or through the skills of her medical team.
A little over three weeks ago, Adley started experiencing headaches and an upset stomach. After a few days of no relief, we headed into the clinic for bloodwork and testing. Everything came back normal. But that evening she started experiencing tingling in her hands. We ended up going to the ER for more tests and eventually a CT scan which revealed a rare form of brain tumor called a colloid cyst of the third ventricle. From there we were sent for an MRI and referred to a neurosurgeon. MRIs found a chiari malformation and a syrinx in her spinal cord. The neurosurgeon team is confident that her symptoms are being caused by the malformation and they will just monitor the growth of the colloid cyst. Originally, we set up surgery to treat the malformation for December 1, but her symptoms the last few days have worsened. So they were able to move it up to October 27.
It's been a shock and a bit of a rollercoaster. But we are standing on the truth. God loves Adley even more than we do. He isn't surprised by any of this, and He has a plan.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to pray on our behalf. 🩷
