Hey there! My name is Vitor Ferrari, and I have always dreamed big. However, a recent, terrifying experience in the United States forced me to put my dreams on hold and return to Brazil. While I am grateful to be safe, this incident has made it too dangerous for me to continue my studies in that city. Now, I am reaching out to you for support as I seek to transfer to a new institution where I can continue my education in safety.
I was born and raised in Santa Maria, Brazil, by my grandparents, who did not have the opportunity to complete middle school. From a young age, I took on the responsibility of my own education, studying independently because my family lacked the means to assist me. Fortunately, I was awarded a scholarship to an excellent school, which not only provided me with a quality education but also ignited my passion for volunteering and psychology.
Today, I am deeply involved in my community through projects I founded, such as "In Pursuit of Action" and "Action Composition." These initiatives have provided essential resources to garbage collector communities and indigenous tribes, reaching over 9,500 children and young people. Additionally, since the beginning of the pandemic, I have facilitated conversations on mental health for over 6,800 students across Brazil. I also founded the SmartSTEM Institute, which helps young people discover their passions and choose their careers, impacting more than 5,500 students.
Life has taught me that every obstacle is an opportunity for growth. Despite the challenges, I am determined to continue my education and make an even greater impact on my community and the world. However, the costs of returning to Brazil and the expenses associated with transferring to a new institution are overwhelming for me and my family. I am currently working three jobs to save money, but I need help covering taxes, registration fees, and other expenses by November.
With your support, I can turn this difficult chapter into a new beginning and continue pursuing my dreams. Your generosity will not only help me but also enable me to keep contributing to my community and advancing the fields of mental health and education. I am incredibly grateful for any assistance you can provide and for the opportunity to share my story with you.
With gratitude and hope,
Vitor Ferrari
