On April 7th Tiffany was told that she had a small tumor in her brain after suffering from severe memory loss and headaches for several months. As most of you can imagine, this has brought on a great deal of fear and anxiety. The doctors were optimistic and told her that she was able to wait until late September to start treatment because it was small, and likely wasn’t cancer. Unfortunately when she returned on May 9th for another scan, she learned that the tumor had tripled in size in less than a month. The doctors said that she had to start treatment immediately, so on May 12th she received her first radiation treatment. She will have to have radiation twice a week for the next six weeks in hopes of shrinking the tumor. After her first treatment it has become very clear just how difficult and how much this is going to take out of her. Up until the 12th she was able to DoorDash, babysit, and clean houses to earn an income to support herself and her four children but she immediately began experiencing severe dizziness, fainting, weakness and exhaustion. This is only going to get worse as this intense course of treatment continues. Not only does she have the stress of what is going on with her health, she now has to worry about how her bills will be paid and how she will afford the gas to drive herself to and from Chapel Hill twice a week to receive radiation. Tiffany is the type of person who will and has given her last dollar to those that she cares about. She is always there to do for others and it is time that we rally around her and show her the same love and support that she selflessly gives on a daily basis. Please consider donating to help Tiffany fight this battle and recover with the strength and grace she always has.
