I am Hala from Gaza, I live in Deir al-Balah, a high school student, I am 16 years old, my father is a prisoner of the Zionist occupation. This war has deprived me of completing my simple dream. My dream before October 7 was to become a well-known doctor in the entire Gaza Strip. Unfortunately, the war came and destroyed me and my dream and my right to education. Now my dream is to leave Gaza to complete my educational journey, which is to become a doctor. There are three wounds in my heart: the childhood wound that was buried in its cradle where I was born and raised between two deaths, and the wound of wars that will not heal. This war has deprived me of completing my educational journey. It has deprived me of meeting my friends at school. Now I meet them in shelters and in lines to get water and bread. In many cases, I meet their names among the martyrs and wounded. All that remains of my biography is the remnants of my simple dream, which is to complete my dream and become a doctor.
