I have the most wonderful, caring, loving, hard working daughter in the world. She's a college graduate working & living, or trying to live, in New York. She doesn't smoke or drink. She has a good job, that pays ok, but not enough to live in the Big Apple. She recently had to move because she could not pay the $2,800 a month for a studio apartment. She's currently staying on a friends couch. Both she and I have searched for roommates and sublease apartments, but to no avail. With student loans, bills, and a cat, life is difficult. I know that there are millions of other young adults going through the same thing, and as a mom, I empathize. Her dad & I do our best to support her and she is extremely grateful for whatever we can do. If we could do more, we would. It's tough being a young adult, trying to find your way in this crazy world.
I'm asking this community, something I've never done before, to help, just a little, to take the edge off while she navigates the city life. No gift is too small and I would be indebted to you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering.
