My name is Deidre Mclaughlin. My husband and I have had a crazy last 11 years. Briefly there was a bike (John) vs a car that set it all off in 2016, kids got taken (they are 22 we have relationship, 21 he does not talk to us and 16 , 17 March 1 hasnt fully decided) we didn't step up until far to late, wildfire - devastating, B's, B's,B's.. ) now it's 2024.we live in Talent Oregon, I have not left our property more than 2x a month sense June of 2023. John does everything on his bike or bus. I can now get my driver's license back but I have to pay $500 and then I can make payments on the rest of my fines but the judge has approved reinstatement. Then we need a car or a truck that could pull our small 5th wheel ( I'd anyone wants to donate a RV we would not say no. Ours is a 1989 Fleetwood resort, which I appreciate so much , but it's old) ok sorry I'm just asking for $500 to get my DL and then the $ to get a car and insure it. Nothing fancy just safe and not horrible on gas.
I am on a fixed income (mva 1997). John has a small guitar business he is trying to get going (Covid and then a wildfire in 2020 shut us down before we really got going).
If you can help us out we would so appreciate it and if you can't/won't we totally understand.
We have been thru it and think that we might just be deserving of this luxury. A car and license. Because it is definitely a perk in life not a given you will have these things!!
