Hi, I am Jessica, and I am fundraising to help Sofia's family come to America.
A true miracle and answer to prayer has taken place. Sofia’s dad, Michael, won the green card lottery (America’s Diversity Visa Program)!!! This means he can come to America and bring his wife, Snejana, and son, Daniel. Without being able to say anything political, coming to America is very important for Daniel's future.
Since the war began, Michael and Snejana have been forced to close their business. They have no income, and they have no control over any of this. They are hardworking, positive, fun, intelligent, and loving people. This family loves and serves God.
They need financial support to pay the fees and travel expenses to get to America. They have submitted all of their paperwork and are supposed to find out by the end of June when they can schedule their medical exams and interviews.
The medical exams will cost a total of $1,260.
The immigrant visa fees will cost a total of $990.
They will have to fly to another country for interviews because the US Embassies in Russia are closed due to the war. These travel expenses will be approximately $1,450.
They will then fly to America! Travel expenses for this trip will be approximately $4,150.
This is a total of $8,000
They will also have incidentals and unexpected expenses and will need financial help in getting set up in America. This is estimated at $2,000.
