Today was Nyx's post surgery op appointment with her main vet! She is doing well. No infection, her stitches are healing fine. She no longer has to wear the cone of shame but still needs to have her post surgery vest because her stomach incision is currently scabbing.

With such hopeful and great news, we are going to be closing the fundraiser. We appreciated every single one of you who rallied and came to support us during this scary event. We cannot thank you enough. 

We would love to send a token of our appreciation. Our plan is to send everyone a little thank you card from our lil' gremlin. So please reach out to us to let us know where to send it!

Hospital called. They told the family she did fine over night and even started eating. Her kidney numbers are still high so they are gonna keep her still and have her IV see if that helps it goes down.

Update 8:22pm: Nyx is out of surgery and staying overnight in the hospital so she can be monitored. She had intestinal blockage and had to cut part of it. They currently estimate she may need to stay to be observed for 3 days. Post surgery and IV she is already more active.

Thank you for the well wishes and continued support. The road is not over yet, but we have crossed a big hurdle.

Update: March 10, 2026 4:20pm EST Nyx is being removed from the emergency hospital to her primary vet for the procedure to help mitigate costs! We are still unsure the total cost as she will have to stay over night, but things are moving the help her and support the family at this time!
