Hi!
In a few short weeks we are headed to Florida for part-vacation/ and to attend a DMD conference! We are raising funds to get Andy a more travel friendly and lite weight wheelchair! Not only for this trip, but something he can use for shorter-day trips, that will allow him easier access to friends houses, buildings etc. while his main wheelchair is great, we are VERY hesitant to take it on the plane, due to his recent fall from his current wheelchair. And although its been temporarily fixed, we are very nervous about taking it on a plane. It’s also just a beast and Andy has had a lot of emotions about it, especially being out in public. We are hoping a smaller profile one will help with that as well.
