My 4-month-old daughter was recently diagnosed with severe hearing loss in her right ear. she has what’s called senorineural which means there’s a normal sloping to severe hearing loss in the right ear. The news has brought a mix of emotions—confusion, fear, and a fierce determination to ensure she thrives. Living in Amarillo means we need to travel to Dallas for her treatments, adding an extra layer of complexity and expense that we weren't prepared for.
These trips are essential for her care, yet the mounting costs of accommodation, meals, and gas are daunting. Our usual bills don’t pause either, and keeping up with everything feels overwhelming. More than anything, I want to make sure she receives the support she needs, and that worry constantly sits at the back of my mind.
Despite it all, I remain hopeful that we'll navigate this challenging time.
