I'm reaching out from Boiling Springs, South Carolina, where my story began to unravel. A few years ago, I faced a mental breakdown, and since then, even the simplest tasks have felt overwhelming. My husband, tirelessly working over 50 hours a week, tries to keep us afloat, but our family of five feels the strain of living paycheck to paycheck.
I lost my well-paying job and now find myself waiting tables, often coming home with just enough to cover gas and groceries. Anxiety and depression shadow every attempt to hold a steady job, adding to the weight we carry.
We’re desperately trying to lower our bills, looking to move, but financial assistance seems just out of reach. Each rejection feels like another door closing, even as we struggle to make ends meet. I'm used to standing on my own feet, yet here I am, reaching out because I’ve exhausted my options.
Asking for help isn't easy, but my priority is ensuring that my family remains safe and stable. I hope to ease our financial burden enough to focus on healing and provide the security my family deserves.
