Hi my name is...well it was, Brian...I think my first family called me that, but they are gone now. I don't know where they are or what happened. I'm a 9 year old great pyrenees. I was rescued from a highway intersection where I was wandering around the vehicles waiting there. I didn't think the cars would hurt me, I was just hoping someone would notice me and help. A nice lady came up to me and called to me, and I trustingly walked right up and jumped into her van. I showed the lady and her family how sweet and gentle I am, and how much I wanted love. But, they were flying out of town the next morning...they desperately searched for my owners that evening but couldn't find them. I was just so hungry and skinny and weak. Thankfully, they found somewhere for me to stay until they came back, but I wandered off and disappeared for another 2 weeks.
But I found my way back...I was hungry, skinny and limping. The nice lady and her family came to get me. They have a big piece of land and lots of dogs. I can tell they want to help me. They took me to the vet and they figured out I had a chip. The nice lady called my first family, but they haven't called back. She thinks maybe they didn't want me. I don't know what I did wrong. I'm sweet, kind, and loyal I like to roam a bit, but I always come home.
They have another dog who looks just like me, and I think we could be friends. There are a lot of people here on this land who pet me and show me love. I know I'm old already and I just want somewhere to live out my days that I can love and be loved.
The nice lady and her family want to help me get strong again. They want to do everything they can to make this happen, but they know it will cost a lot. Can you please help me? I want to live and love, and I know I still have lots of both left in me. Please help the nice lady get me well again!
